Manchester United has reported about the Covid-19 outbreak in the team. The club announced that Carrington training complex has been closed down for a day to minimize the risk of further spread of the disease. The players and staff who tested positive were isolated.
“Given the cancellation of training sessions and disruption of the usual work of the team, as well as the health of players and staff the priority, the club is discussing with the Premier League whether it is safe for the match with Brentford to go ahead on Tuesday.
The trip of the team and staff to London will be delayed until a decision is made based on the results of this discussion,” the Mancunians said in a statement.
