Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards will leave his position next summer.
Edwards’ work, thanks to which forward Mohamed Salah, winger Sadio Mane and other important players appeared in the Merseysiders’ team, impressed Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, as reported by Daily Mail with reference to The Independent.
Real Madrid has already contacted the manager and tried to convince him to accept the position.
The club wants Edwards to create a new transfer policy with the aim of buying star footballers and players who are approaching this status. At the same time, it will be necessary to take into account the economic constraints due to the COVID pandemic.
As reported earlier, Edwards refused the job offer from Newcastle United.
